Your Crew
Chad Grisso
Chad began captaining yachts on the Chesapeake bay about ten years ago. Around that time he was also delivering sailing catamarans, sport fish trawlers and motor yachts from Long Island, NY to the Rio Dulce of Guatemala, the west coast of Florida, Bahamas, Mexico, and so far his favorite cruising grounds, the beautiful cayes of Belize.
Captain Chad left a career in aviation after ten years. He says he is very happy to now be exploring the warm waters of the Caribbean at 8 knots, after exploring much of the world at 3/4 the speed of sound. When not sailing with Belize Sailing Vacations he can be found playing on the beach on the north side of Ambergris Caye with his adopted puppy Maya. Chad’s other interests include diving, spearfishing, kayaking and cooking with friends. He likes to cook with red wine and sometimes puts it in the food…
Rory Petrilli
Rory joined Belize Luxury Sailing after leaving the ski world in search of warm weather sailing and sun. She began sailing close to ten years ago in Seattle, spending much of her time racing sailboats ranging from J24’s to a 1D-48 in the Puget Sound region. In 2009, Rory completed her first open ocean crossing; she was part of a crew of four to sail from Mexico to the South Pacific. Once in the Marquesas Islands, she sailed double-handed on an Alajuela 38 through the Marquesas Islands and Tuamotu Atolls.
Rory now happily lives in the sunshine at the north end of Ambergris Caye and loves sailing the beautiful blue waters of Belize. She is passionate about the water, sailing and traveling. With her contagious enthusiasm, she brings her knowledge of sailing and love of adventure to your vacation.
